Why do some resources in MackinVIA™ not have the option to check out or request?
To check out or request titles, your school must have enabled the Backpack™ feature [1] as well as the checkouts feature, you must be logged into Backpack, and the resource must be hosted by Mackin [2]. Your MackinVIA™ may contain a variety of resources, including eBooks hosted on publisher platforms, Mackin-hosted titles, interactive titles and databases.
Missing Request buttons could mean your MackinVIA contains no single-user titles. If it does, and that title has no copies, then Requests may not be activated on your school’s MackinVIA website.
